Sarah is a mechanical engineering student at her
hometown school, Montana State University, in Bozeman, Montana. During her
studies, she had the opportunity to spend two semesters abroad at Hochschule
Ravensburg-Weingarten in Germany. She will be graduating in December 2015 with
her Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with an International Engineering
Certificate. Following graduation she is hoping to do an internship with
Engineering Ministries International, during the spring of 2016.
Sarah’s interest in fluid power has been promoted by her senior design project. The project required her and two other students to develop a soft, fluid powered, prosthetic finger that has the potential to be incorporated into a full hand design. The project team will be building and testing a prototype during Fall semester 2015.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys engaging in outdoor
recreational activities, working on the dinghy that she is building, and
reading.
