3D Printers and Circuits, oh my

The first week has been a whirlwind.  From meeting the labmates, to tuning and transferring to circuit board a miniaturized pressure sensor circuit to work in conjunction with 4mm pneumatic tubing and press-to-release pneumatic fittings, week 1 has been busy, productive, exciting and fun.

The grad-student I am working under, Ziming Wang, has been so helpful.  I've particularly enjoyed throwing ideas back and forth with him about the designs we've been working on, and I'm excited to delve into my next task: helping to reduce weight and volume on the ankle foot orthosis mechanism itself.  But first, a calibration of the pressure sensor circuits' output voltages as they change in response to pressure from 0 - 150 psi.

Hopefully this next week will go smoothly.  Today, I forgot to click the "support structure" box for the 3D print, but the overhung features were small to begin with, so the parts turned out well (and very, very pink).

Until next week,
-Aaron
